The human memory and the invention of the camera converge in an impossible new change.

Using archival footage from Prelinger Archives, CORTEX is an experimental film that was born from my intense curiosity regarding cinemas relatively new arrival in human society, and its seismic role in shaping not only our culture, but more acutely, our psychology. CORTEX is an unconventional love letter of sorts to the power of the image.
